I used FM8 to create a human voice-like pad, which I then played backwards and then reversed to get the attack to be the decay and the decay to be the attack. In the intro you should hear some vinyl dirt sound, which came from me recording a dirty record. The piano is supposed to sound out of tune and scary, this was done by a bunch of fiddling with the piano roll and Kontakt 5 for the actual instrument. The chords are based off of what I played on guitar, and then I took those chords and simplified them and turned them into a simple arp synth. The weird wonky lead was actually done with a slide on the electric guitar and some pedals (a Lyon chorus and a Donner Yellowfall delay on my Jackson js20 electric. For the main guitar I used very slight delay to make a reverb, and then I replayed the guitar again after with my old classical guitar to add some more depth. The bass was just my guitar playing the bassnotes and then dropped an octave in post. I suck at drums so I studied a FPC preset to find out how it worked and then created my own patterns with my own samples. I used a compressor after mixing, then some slight flanger and some bitcrusher on the drums at the end. Some of the lead was sent through a gate to get choppy. For the break down I reversed the bass to make it unravel into the piano.
Feel free to remix or sing/rap over this track. Try to keep it clean and I would like just a simple headsup before you do. Also feel free to share the song.
